My crack addict boyfriend asks for time?

he said he wants to quit it, asked me for 2 weeks and if he won't be able to leave it he will seek help with rehab. he said he doesn't want to lose me, he values me, he loves me and im worth it. asked me to bare with him give him time undersand his problem, he accepted its harder than he though. he asked for support and for being there for him.

he said it 4 days ago... he is doing it everyday. he said that if he won't leave that and i leave him he totally understands.

yesterday and today he smoked it again, recognized he shouldn't do that because it gave him paranoia. yesterday he opened windows and was scared af looking outside.

today i was showering and he smoked that, got hight and paranoyed again. when i saw him hold a sofa leg (that fell in the guest room) i asked what are you doing with it

he said: dont worry its not for you. he did it again and yesterday he won't do that.

then he was angry and stressed and i asked if he wanted space. he said yeah he would rather be on his own drink beer

i said no problem and left home as soon as i can

should i worry? should i give him chance?

Usually when they ask for time they mean it but it almost never goes that way, the time is just postponed, I've never done crack but I've said the same when I was addicted to nicotine, i always postponed, I've realized when quitting was effective it was when I decided it at them moment and acted at the moment, I realized myself that the postponing was just an excuse to keep doing it.

Now he is going to clinic every month
And takes pills
Thats why i kinda believe him

Noooo
He did both for like 25 years
... he is clean from heroin for more than 10 years now
He did cocaine maybe during parties like 2,3 times per month and that was all
But now his health is shit and he has some stress in life from his family and thats why he stsrted using crack again but heavily everyday
We stsrted to have problems he said he doesn't want it to affect our rrlationship but it does
Like today... i literally escaped
So yeah. He sees that... i see that
We both know he needs to stop
He asked for time ,2 weeks to sort this out
He is very impulsive very stressed all the time
With every problem big or small he takes drugs

I've never seen him do this much drugs, never in 3 years

I'd say if things get worse it's only normal to look for better results elsewhere if you feel like you can support him and help him then I think you should try your best, whenever you've had enough, no one would judge you for seeking for better elsewhere.

you need to get out of that situation ASAP. If he comes back a year from now clean and sober, then you can think about going back to him

he asked for 2 weeks
said ill be surprised how he can come back clean
but said he cannot cut it right away
while before when he smoked it like once a week or so
he said he does when out with friends and that he can stop when he wants
he is a liar first of all to himself
before smoking he said i hate doing it and even cries... then he does it and after 20 minutes again he feels horrible about doing it and regrets it
i dont get it

I'd give him more than two weeks. I knew a woman in your situation. It became a nightmare, but she refused to let him go no matter how many times he relapsed. He finally assaulted her, and she finally ended it.

No he means he takes 2 weeks and if he cannot quit it by himself he goes to rehab
I mean he stopped heroin
Which is 1000 times worse
He stipped heroin by himself and got into clinic and takes pills now
I belive him 50/50
