What does it mean when a guy asks you if you have a man?

If a guy asks you if you have a man is it because he wants you? Or is there a possibility that he’s just wondering and making conversation? For reference he was asking me about if I knew any good shows before he asked me if I had a man.

Yes, it’s a serious question I don’t want to just assume that he wants to get with me. I mean personally as a female I would ask someone because I was just trying to make conversation. But I’m not a guy, so that’s why I was trying to ask guys. ask him. Oh, why do you want to get with me and then look dumb

Okay. Men are supposed to take the lead on initiating dating, so if a woman asks that question, MAYBE it has some significance other than her doing reconnaissance to determine dating prospects. But if a man asks that question, I cannot imaging it having any meaning other than "are you available for dating?"
