this guy is rlly socially awkward probably has never had a girlfriend. he's ok looking, super tall, and has a great career. He likes my gym snaps told me he looks at them a little too long. He lives an hour away from me. i told him i saw him at his fav coffee shop and he didn't see me. but i was like hmm maybe i should go there more often and he was like pls dont come because he needs to study basically and i would distract him. i get that but like I'm trynna flirt with him. Does he just want to be a passive friend who watches my gym snaps and gets off to them or could this guy just be socially awkward and not know that I'm asking him out?

Hmm that's tricky. On one hand, he could genuinely just want a chill space to focus on studying without distractions, since it's important for his career and all. Sometimes dudes need their alone time ya know.

But it's also possible he's shy and isn't picking up on your hints that you want more than friendship. Or maybe he wants to keep admiring your gym snaps from afar without having to actually make a move in person.

I'd say call his bluff - hit him up and be like "hey, I was in the area and thought I'd grab a coffee and say hi while you're studying. I promise not to bother you too much!" See how he reacts.

If he still makes excuses, then he may just be wanting to keep you at arm's length. But at least showing up could give him the push to man up and ask you out himself. Nothing ventured nothing gained! You miss 100% of the shots you don't take.

Worse comes to worst, you get a coffee. Best case, you find out if there's real potential there or if he's all talk. Good luck! Let me know how it goes.
