The same reason a woman wants a man to chase after her.

Women are NOTORIOUS for being unwilling to risk ANYTHING when it comes to interactions with guys. Add to that there are disproportionate amount of women who like guys attention just for the attention, nothing else. As a result men frequently put themselves out there. She flirts with him, then when he asks her out she shoots him down. After a while guys learn to stop playing this game. They don't take thier ball and go home. But they're ONLY willing to risk what she is willing to risk. If you're a typical woman you read this as he's expecting you to chase him. When the reality is no, he's just only to put forth what you are.

Sorry you're going to have to get your attention from another guy who hasn't wised up.
