Some guys are/were "pretty boys" or jocks back in school and girls chased them... so they're used to being chased. Also, because there are SO MANY feminist claims that discourage guys from approaching women or even being polite (e. g., holding doors, pulling out chairs, helping you put your coat on, holding groceries with you, etc. etc. etc.)... that they just sit around waiting for the girls to fall into their laps. Ultimately, the desperate girls DO fall into their laps and they don't really need to do much to be attended to... ever.

Bc society often perpetuates unhealthy dynamics, such as the idea that men should be pursued by women or that women should be submissive in relationships. This can lead to individuals accepting these behaviors as normal.
