So, the main character of the story is one of my classmate at university. Every time we met we had eye contact (sometimes more than once a day) and during the winter holiday we didn’t met for 2,5 months. After the break on our first common lecture I noticed he stared at me (someone other student talked, he turned back and didn’t look at the person who spoke, but me. Then I encouraged myself to be brave so I added him oh Fb. BUT! He didn’t accept it approx a month now. I can’t get over the fact I misred someone so badly.

How active is he on Facebook? Do you know if he’s seeing someone even unofficially?
I don’t know. :/
Well, I’d say it’s possible he doesn’t use it often so he didn’t see your request. It’s also possible that he’s leaving it there out of respect for someone else since Facebook is more personal that like Instagram or Snapchat. You should talk to him next time you see him. You found the courage to add him, you can totally do this.
I think he didn’t accept my request intentionally and maybe he just looked because he was bored or something. For me it’s a straightforward message he didn’t/doesn’t want anything from me so I don’t think I’ll make another move. I feel a bit awkward the whole situation but my gut feeling never ever mislead me until now. Thank you for the encouragement.
I feel like when you’re trying to work up the courage to do something, your mind will do everything to talk yourself out of it. Then when you do it, and it seems like it didn’t succeed, you mind will go to the worst places trying to make sense of why it didn’t work. Especially with dating. As of now, you don’t know if he purposely didn’t accept your request, but I totally understand if that’s the impression you get from him. I think we get vibes from people, and your guts saying this was intentional. In which case I also get if you don’t want to approach and talk to him. At least you had the courage to try! A lot of people wouldn’t have added him.
