What would your thoughts be about my ex waited for me but didn't reach out?

Thank you for responding. My ex and I got a dog together that I signed over to him to nice a month ago. He agreed that he’d still allow me to see him whenever I wanted. About a week ago my ex almost someone and told me that I won’t be able to see my dog as much as I’d like which upset me. We met today at the park and I got very upset and started crying and couldn’t calm down for awhile. Before we both got in our cars he kept telling me that he was “so sorry for everything”. I got in my car but sat there for probably another 20 to 30 minutes just wailing. I didn’t even realize that he hadn’t left until I pulled out. He didn’t leave until after I did but also didn’t call me or try to speak to me again while we were still there. It’s also been a couple hours since and he has not reached out to me at all. What is your opinion on why he stayed but hasn’t reached back out to me? I also will add that we had sex yesterday (he initiated it)

So, thoughts about your ex waiting for you is not even an idea I can grasp. The dominant thought here is the childishness of these games and unbelievable immaturity.


It’s over. You’re ex’s. Move on. No more sex. No more seeking closure. No more talking. Nothing. Shut that door and walk away.


People must grasp you lose things when you break up with people. Sometimes houses. Sometimes money. Sometimes children. Sometimes parts of a relationship that seemed kind of nice with hindsight. Sometimes dogs.


This dog represents nothing more than a manipulation tool.

I don't get this, did you have the dog before you split up. Why did you sign the dog over to him and how do you know he wants to get back with you, he just wants sex. Also perhaps if he does want to get back he is worried you will just drop him again

We haven’t. He doesn’t like to talk much about anything that has happened in the past between us

I’m open to that happening when things eventually fall apart with him and the other person he’s talking to. The main reason why I want to stay in contact is because of the dog

I also can’t really tell how he feels. The way he looks at me, the fact that he seems to not be able to resist being physical with me, and the fact that he hasn’t tried to cut me off makes me wonder but also like I said he never reached back out to me after todays events.
