There is a guy I used to chat on social media. He comes to the same gym as me. Once he told me indirectly that I’m annoying and now he’s following me?

He follows me in the gym. He would often walk in my direction or train besides me but he doesn’t talk at all. Why would he do that?

Dang, that is a super weird situation! I wouldn't really know what that dude's problem is. Like you said, why would he tell you you're annoying but then constantly follow you around the gym? That doesn't make any sense. Part of me wonders if maybe he was just trying to mess with you or get your attention by saying that. Some guys think being mean is how you flirt I guess, even if it's really stupid.

It would definitely bug me out to have some guy doing that, especially since you used to chat online too. I'd probably feel super self-conscious with him lurking near me all the time! I don't blame you for being confused. If it was me, I'd definitely try asking him what his deal is. Maybe catch him after your workout and be like "hey, can we talk for a sec? I don't get why you act like I annoy you but never leave me alone at the gym. What's that all about?" That way you'll at least get some answers, even if he tries blowing you off.

If that doesn't work or he keeps acting weird, I'd just try my best to avoid him. Switch up your schedule so you're not there at the same times, work out on the opposite side of the gym, or see if any friends want to start coming with you. You shouldn't have to stress about some dude messing with your head while you're trying to get your sweat on! Hope you can figure it out. Let me know what ends up happening!

I told him “you don’t talk at all in the gym” he said “did you talk?” I told him “I didn’t approach you because you said I’m annoying” then he replied “hey I was only joking”. Does it really matter? You obviously want him to approach you , whereas he wants to work out , so he follows you on a social , again.. So what? None of this stuff matters , the gym is not a niteclub , focus on your workout and forget this guy.

I don't know, but with all these problems people have with the opposite sex at various gyms on here, I'm pleased I have my own personal gym at home!
