Men generally drive better, but there is a percentage of men who either show off, have severe anger or entitlement issues, etc. and so they purposely drive dangerously and frequently hurt other people and/or themselves. I don't much mind when they hurt or kill themselves, but too often, it's someone else who is hurt or killed.

If it wasn't for this specific group, men's stats would be significantly better. Most of these men don't lack driving skill, just boundaries and respect for the law.

I have seen things happen on the roads of London over the years that would make your hair curl!

By both sexes is should be said, but if I was to narrow it down into the most common faults. I would say.. Guys have the most accidents and it's because of showing off, or they are late for something. Women however when they drive into or through something, they have no concept of how it happened!

I realise that is a generalisation though.

The weirdest scenario was when I was parked up having my lunch, this car came towards me, bouncing off of parked cars, on both sides of the road and then coming to a stop wedged tightly into a Mercedes (Might have been a BMW, I can't remember) She got out and shouted... Does anyone have an apple?

The Police came and took statements, during which time the owner of the Merc turned up and thought he'd been setup for a prank on TV.. He burst into tears as he'd only had it a few weeks.
The whole thing was surreal.

My Answer: Men and Women both are shitty drivers when texting while driving, drinking while driving, and smoking weed while driving. Men & Women are both shitty at driving when they are operating vehicles with an expired license, no sense of traffic laws, and no focus on the road.

Men and women are humans, humans can be skilled or flawed at something and it doesn’t matter gender. Shut up this stereotyping and gender war BS please and thank you.

Some studies show that female brains have a less developed space perception capability.

Meaning while driving they might see other cars or obstacles as closer or farther than they actually are increasing the risk of accidents.

And you'll notice 99% of women who get into an accident often say things like "I never saw it coming" it's always a cognitive thing

This is learning skill... And it get enhanced as you practices it... So in my opinion, anyone can drive better based on his/her skills and practice.
It's not like that just men can drive better... I seen a lot woman who drives better...
We can not do comparison between Men and Women with respect to driving.

Insurance companies think women drive better. I think cautious people drive better, and women are just taught to be more cautious but that doesn't always sink in lol. It depends on the individual but in general women have a slight advantage starting out I'd say.

I think it's the individual person. I do drive very well and defensive.
I am a woman. I wanted to drive race car's so bad, but never knew anyone to help me get started.

Now, we have to take into consideration if the person driving is on drugs, because that changes the whole equation.

Many factors to consider. Especially is the person stupid? Not to be mean, because I wouldn't be in a car with a stupid person at the wheel.

Men drive far, far, more miles each year than women. As of 2018 (I think) women overtook men for the number of accidents per mile driven (likely due to distracted driving). So men drive far more miles per year than women but have a lower accident rate.

Well a had my car run into 3 times all in the same year, all by women. And before you try to put some blame on me. It was parked! I wasn't anywhere near it. And yes it was parked legally. So whether women or men drive better I feel like I've at least EARNED the bias towards women.🤣

overall, women are more cautious, and men are the more aggressive and stupid at times, although here in CA I have seen some really stupid, aggressive driving on the part of younger women.

There are far more male taxi drivers, truckers, race car drivers.

I'd go with men on this one. That said, the most reckless drivers are usually also men.

Men just dominates the road. There are just more men driving than women and they tend to drive longer hours also because it can be related to their jobs. So there are just going to be more bad and good male drivers than bad and good female drivers
