For instance when I would talk to a colleague at work they would inch away very slowly so that I wouldn’t notice it even though we are not sitting very close at all. I know I don’t smell, I’m clean and I dress well. So why would people act like I had a transmittavle diseases and shift their body away from me?

Well in the example you give at work... maybe he is... you know... busy. That could be why he inches away. He wants to do his job and you are keeping him from that. I don't know what else to guess based on the context given. He is there to do a job and so are you. I know that small talk at work is common but some people just want to get on with their day and do their jobs. Other people will chat away. I don't know where you work or what sort of environment it is but maybe he isn't keen to waste time talking to colleagues because he knows his immediate superior doesn't tolerate that. It is really hard to say without knowing more and my opinion is a guess.
No we were in a meeting and he didn’t have anything else to do later
If you are in a meeting then you should be paying attention to the meeting don't you think? Perhaps that is why he did that.
Hä? I was in a one on one meeting with him. Of course I notice him moving away?
Maybe you get closer to people than you realize?
They don't like talking to you
But why?
