Why do men deny being close to their male friends?

Im talking to a guy and this is a the second time I’ve seen a guy talk like they hate or don’t know the other when it’s clear they do. Are they envious or just playing dumb?

I think women form closer more intense friendships which dramatically fall apart.

Men form working relationships - that might be 1 drinking beer and talking shit about football 2 other interest 3 some physical hobby etc etc. We'll possibly deny being close friends cause that seems gay.

On the other hand we'll still be friends in 20 years.

I don't really understand your question. I don't act like I don't know my friends and I've never met a guy who does. But male friendships aren't like female friends, we aren't going to obnoxiously scream his name and give him a hug.

How do you know what the dynamic is between this guy and his friends? What do you mean deny knowing them, hate them, etc. Why would he deny knowing a friend? How do you know who that guy was? None of this really adds up.

What do you mean don’t talk shit if they have pictures, travel in group with other roommates and work together? Another guy confessed to me after years of denying to know my ex husband they he actually was he’s friend when younger just because they he was trying to be with me🙂
