He gives me jewelry but I still feel unwanted?

He oftenly gifts me jewelry and doesn’t ignore my text or calls. But on our first date he told me to lose weight and I was already thin to begin with but the fact I’m naturally thick but lean. I don't know he gifts me and complements me and buy me flowers every time we go out. I don’t understand, at times I get so angry at him that I tell him not to speak me, I can not talk to him for months but he can’t go on for even a week without talking at least that what it seems but I don’t feel that in my heart. I feel that he doesn’t really like or want me at all. I don’t know why I feel so heart broken by him. He didn’t do anything or even ever cheated on me but it feels like he has.

On that forst date you should have stood up and walked out immediately. Why on earth would you continue see and talk to this man after he said something like that on a first date? Clearly you don’t have enough self-respect and self-esteem to set enough boundaries. That’s something you need to work on. If someone insults you, then that’s not someone for you. Tell him you’re not interested, block him and move on. In the future you end things right away when you see the red flags and toxic behavior. You don’t even like him so why do you feel the need to keep him around? You don’t think you deserve better? Would you feel bad for him if you cut him out of your life? Do you feel obligated to let him sticking around? You need to do some deep thinking and hard work on yourself before you date again so you don’t repeat allow this to happen again when you do start dating new people. You aren’t obligated to be nice to someone. You aren’t obligated to let him be in your life and that’s true no matter what gifts he’s gotten you or what he said/says. You don’t even need a reason at all to be like hey, not feeling it have a nice life and never talk to him again. This is a man you went on a bad date with and for some reason you felt you had to let him stick around, that you don’t deserve better or that it wasn’t that bad and he ”didn’t do anything”. He did do something and even if he didn’t you. are. not. obligated. to. be. with. him. End of story.
