Is it true what my friend said to me when he said " owning games isn't impressive" should I care what he said underneath?

1. I guess that the game doesn't tend to gain value over time, so you're not really investing in something valuable.

2. Re your friend, he/she wants you to offer something that's intellectually challenging rather than to simply show off that you're financially capable of owning all the games. This is possibly bc the friend doesn't have the same financial means... So perhaps do something that's free or low-cost and more intellectually stimulating... like a museum or show or something that you can both enjoy and discuss.

3. Gaming doesn't necessarily involve talking and clearly the friend wants to do something more engaging.

Just ignore what you're friend said. Some people aren't into video games and won't find it owning them impressive. I'm not interested in handbags so don't find it impressive when women own them, but it doesn't mean they can't own them or that other people don't find it impressive.

I'm not sure what's impressive about that. It's one of things that's fine when you're 12 but when you've got a job and bills to pay it becomes a bit lame if that's what you're proud of
