An acquaintance of mine started gaming when he was 5 year old in 2002 & he beat many games from start to finish without saving, cheating, using hacks,
In 2002 competitive gaming isn't like it is now & he brags that he was one of the "OG'S
In 2006 through 2010 he SHOWED promise in a multitude of multiplayer games
Constantly winning & rarely losing or getting bodied
He brags yet again that in 06 that competitive online gaming was in it's "infancy"
Again proclaiming that he was one of the "first" "true" competitors
Is it true though? Was competitive gaming in 2002 & 2006 really that rare?

Gaming back then wasn't like it is now, and it honestly just sounds like he wants some validation to try and differentiate himself from the growing youth audience that's coming into gaming. He wants to feel special, whether or not he actually is special is debatable but it mostly just sounds like he's insecure and the gaming community is the biggest community he has. If it's bugging you to hear him talk about it, why not ask him to be real with you and be honest about how he feels? Is it really that he thinks games are too easy, or is it just that he doesn't like the attention going to a younger market than himself?
Honestly, I'm not a fan of anyone that brags about anything. Especially video games. I love playing them, but I'm not competitive. I play for fun so entitlement and bragging about them doesn't really make sense to me.
Yeah ๐
He brags about beating every Resident Evil entry that came pre from start to finish without saving, dying in less than 2 hours
He was 5 in 2002 doing this ๐
Way ahead of most gamers I guess
Yeah, he seems like he's full of it lol
There were people playing intense DOOM matches online half a decade before you buddy was even BORN, and guys playing chess and the like fifteen years before that. A little temporal perspective is called for, here.
