Is it normal to complain about being ahead in a game?

My roommate/friend and I often game together. We both recently got into Helldivers. I’m now ahead of him by like one or two levels. He always complains that I’m once again am ahead of him in a game. He says I have more time than he does cause he’s always hanging out with friends or visiting his parents. I simply go to the gym, work and come home. I like being indoors versus going out so yeah, I play more often. I don’t like that he complains every time I get ahead in a whatever game we play and feels like he shouldn’t because he’s more than capable of making time to game. However, unlike me, doesn’t want to play a single game for hours on end like I do. We’re two different people. I moved away from my family and friends so I can’t visit whenever I want by the way.

Complaining is a sign of weakness. So complaining about something petty like videogames is even weaker. He's a weak minded person because he's jealous that you're ahead even though you're not really trying.

It's normal to complain, just not so much over dumb stuff.

No one I've ever played video games with in my life has ever complained about me being a higher level than them... At times in some games, people have asked me to carry them so they can power level...
