Why is he acting like Im his wife at workplace?

We work together and had past. In that past, he acted like a patriarch husband but never labelled the relation. It was too much and I left.

Now he is my reporting manager. Also he keeps acting strange.

1. Looking at me while working

2. Coming too close while talking

3. Staring into eyes, like, not the normal look you give to your coworker

4. Offers to take me for lunch or share his' with mine. And sit with me for lunch

5. Offers to drop home, pick from

6. Keeps complementing clothes and if makeup is too much, ask me to remove

7. Possessive over me at workplace like if the top of the cleavage is visible, he ask me to cover it up also checking if anyone looks there.

8. Always sit next to me, like always

9. Ensures everyone know that he is into me and no guy should look or make a move on me

I'm a bit confused. You say "It was too much and I left." Then you say he is your manager. I thought you left. That's my confusion. Anyhow you answered your own question.

Umm that pretty much sums things up for you. He is into you so that's why he does all the aforementioned things on your list. Not sure how that is so hard to figure out. He likes you and some of the things he is doing is flirting and others he is really showing what he wants which is to date. On that point don't do it and especially not if he is your manager. That is a recipe for disaster.

This story is too wild to be real. There is no way a manager would/could openly act like that in the workplace without HR getting involved.
