I guess I should've been more specific, My man is there for me emotionally, sexually, he makes me feel safe and cared for... but I'm not a big fan when he's always trying to pay for everything

Yes, if you mean she has everything sorted.

No, if you mean she gets ticked if I hold a door for her, like I would do for literally anyone else.

I like them. Especially when she's a sweet person and doesn't feel the need to constantly remind me about how independent she is.

So there's two reasons why you'll hear why men don't like independent women

1. Is because they rather have the control. Not as common. But it is a reason

And 2. And this is way more common. Is it's not the fact that they don't like women being independent it's the fact that some women will try and throw it in men's faces, for NO reason that they ARE independent. Some gain some sort of attitude and think they're better than the men.

Their patience for men diminishes quickly and are quick to bring up how they don't need them cause they're independent

All while every man has to be independent and they don't throw it at women. You see the issue?

Then all independent women get thrown into the same category so the ones who aren't bad get placed right next to the bad ones. So it's easier to say they don't like independent women

Men want to provide, it gives us purpose. It makes us want to be better. We want to feel useful, needed, and appreciated. If a woman is independent, well then what does she need me for? I'm replacable, and she has no reason not to just throw me away the moment she gets bored or a better option comes along. I don't think men and women should be independent from each other. We do certain things better than each other, so we do far better helping each other than doing everything for ourselves.

Men don't care much whether a woman is independent or not. It's a woman's personality, character, values, attitudes toward men and relationships, and how she treats her man that matters. Women who think men don't like independent women are looking for excuses to explain why they fail with men. If they were more honest with themselves, they would know men are totally fine with independent women who have good personalities.

It's used in the wrong way!
Usually i'm attracted to dependent women!
