Boyfriend never mentions me to female friend these days?

My boyfriend told me he mentioned me to his female friend at work. These days he does some project work with her based at home where they sometimes chat at the same time. These days he never mentions me to her. As an example, it was recently his birthday and I made a nice celebration for him and the topic of his birthday came up between them. He quickly brushed past it and didn’t mention anything about it , the celebration or him going out for some nice food with me. I don’t know if he’s embarrassed to mention me these days. What do you guys think?

So you’re suspecting something might be up? Because he doesn’t mention you all the time to people? I think a lot of us men do the same. I know I don’t. It’s not that it was important or I didn’t enjoy it or something. To me it’s not their business. I don’t feel like I have to tell them everything my girl did for me or everywhere we went, etc. Men like their lives to be private. But there’s also a chance he likes her, so he avoids talking about you. Because the more he brings you up the less she’s likely to have an interest if she is interested. Speculating if her talks about you a lot she may realize how much he loves you. So she will keep her distance.

What you could do is suggest meeting up for coffee or a meal (all three of you, or with her and her partner).
