Why does my guy friend ignore me when he has his girlfriend with him?

I understand needing to make her feel important and don't want to be center of attention, but we usually joke and have a great time hanging out as friends! He brought a new girlfriend to an event and brushed past with a short Hello and didn't even stop for introductions. He had asked we all be seated together so we were but he barely said a word to me. He spent the whole time talking and kissing on the girlfriend. I would have rather sat where I had people to carry on a conversation with and while I am happy for him that he found someone, I am a bit hurt over being ignored. I don't see why we all couldn't carry on like we usually do.

And if it makes any difference... the guy friend has been my best friend for years. He wasn't this way in previous relationships.

some people can't be just friends with the opposite sex , he was your best friend bc he had a secret crush on u or he was trying to get with u , but now he has a girlfriend so he's priotizing her bc he can't be just friends with u bc as i stated before , some people can't be close with the opposite sex without being attracted to them

Really? You would be doing the exact same thing. His girlfriend is his top priority, not you.

Really. I have never ignored friends over relationships. A good relationship doesn't need you to choose one or other. Of course she is top priority. I'm not expecting otherwise. But why bother asking to have us all at the same table? Why ignore someone completely? He didn't do that in previous relationships.

How he acted during his previous relationships is completely irrelevant. This girl is different. Either she has his balls in her purse and won't allow him to even look at you OR he is acting this way on his own (which I think is HIGHLY unlikely)

So there you go. You can offer to meet her, maybe take them both out to lunch or something.
As far as the whole opposite sex friend thing I don't believe in it for many reasons. I think you can still be friends. Hanging out alone is likely off the table though.

No, I don't feel threatened with him having friendships. I'm not asking about any kind of affection. But no conversation or even a goodbye when they left. Seemed strange and out of character.
