Well if someone truly loves you he may become more open around you and be his true authentic self. When a relationship gets serious especially serious enough where it’s getting down to possibly being married you’re going to be around one another all the time. It’s good to know who someone is and be able to love this person genuinely for who he is (and the same for him with you)

If someone can’t genuinely love somebody for who they are then they need to break things off on good terms so that both people can be happy long term because I can promise it won’t end well for either person.

When things first start many people both men and women pant this perfect picture of someone and as time goes on you see them for their flaws and imperfections.

At the end of the day you need to ask him why he does this and genuinely listen. Be honest and communicate that’s how mature relationships work.
