It's weird because if he liked you and wanted to get together that is not a normal thing to say. What would happen if you replied and asked him what he is doing this weekend?

If you like him you could ask if he will have time to meet for coffee/lunch. He’s probably too busy with the kids but if he’s interested in you he should ask if you can meet another time.
