What is the psychology behind a person who refuses to commit but is borderline obsessed with you and won’t leave you alone?

I dumped a guy because he wouldn’t commit and now he is harassing me at this point.

He has deep rooted fears of something. someone will have to dig through his psyche to figure out what he's afraid of. It in reality is his conditioning as a child which echoed through his personality in how he interpreted it all. Love and commitment were not modeled to him or he became afraid of it, possibly cursed or cursed himself by making oaths.

Some people fear commitment. They like being able to leave quickly and easily if things go wrong. It's not so easy to leave a marriage. And that's kind of the point of the whole thing, isn't it?
