Why do I hear my name being called when no one is around?

I was at work yesterday on a ladder heard my name called. But no one was around me.

i hear my name being called a lot.

You don't. What you hear are sounds, often quiet or distant or both, that are vaguely like your name, so that's what your brain interprets them as. I go through the same thing.

That, or we're both being followed around by REALLY passive-aggressive ghosts. One of the two.

was not sure if its good or bad my dad died 8 years ago but it does not sound like his voice.

It could be nothing as it could be more serious conditions like skyzophrenia. Maybe go check with a doctor just to be sure.
