The only reason I might not tell her immediately is if I thought she was likely to react in such a way that she would want privacy, and the current situation didn't allow it. Then I might tell her that I had something to tell her but it would need to wait until she was free and able to go someplace more private to discuss it.
If I didn't plan to tell her something almost immediately, I wouldn't say anything to her in the first place.
You are way too old to be entertaining bullshit like that.
Don't waste your time with men that play those games.
