Is crying a sign of being weak?

Do you guys think it's weak to cry? I'm a little sensitive and guys told me it's nothing to be ashamed if I cry sometimes but when I ask them if they would cry, then say that it would make them weak. So why do they tell me it's ok but won't do it themselves? Do they say it's ok for me becouse they think that I'm weak?

For women it’s almost always acceptable. For a man it’s different. I know women are going to say real men cry lol even some dudes will say it. But the difference is you don’t have to live the life of a man w being looked up to for a lot of things. Especially peotection of your lived ones. You’re not expected to go out in the middle of the night to check on a noise your wife heard outside. You’re not expected to be the provider for a majority of women when it comes to taking care of finances. Sure some women do it but throughout time it’s never really been that way. Even so women who are in that role would prefer to be the feminine role in the relationship, not the masculine. A lot of women don’t want to work till they die. I don’t think it’s a good thing to cry especially in front of your girl. Maybe if you’re alone ok get it out. But a lot of women have left their man or looked at him differently when he cried. Like wow this is the dude who is supposed to protect me. I’ve heard a few women say they either left their man or didn’t feel the same about him when he got knocked out in a fight. It changes the dynamics of how they look at him. A lot of times women look to men for direction in a lot of things, especially dangerous situations. So if he’s crying over something that she’s looking to him for, how do you think she’s going to feel? Oh shit it’s that bad that he’s even crying! The issue w men crying is you don’t know when a girl will be acceptable of it or not. Each girl is different. Some may be ok w your dog dying. Others might think it’s just a dog really dude? So you’re taking a chance when you cry in front of her that she may leave you cause she doesn’t think you’re “man” enough. Even as a child girls were usually allowed to cry. Boys were told to shut up, boys don’t cry. Not just by other males but by women as well.

I think it’s more emotions. More hormones. If I’m being honest do I think a lot of women are weak emotionally? Yes. Not all. But just look at this forum. A lot of girls asking the same questions. Still can’t move on from an ex. Girls saying this man smiled at me, would say hi. Now he’s dating some other girl. How could he do that to me when she never had him to begin w. Men can come out, be honest w each other. Like dude you’re fat. If you told a girl that it most likely would devastate her. You have to be delicate in the way you talk to a majority of women. Yes some men would get their feelings hurt as well, but not as much as women. I honestly don’t think men can really be honest w a lot of women. I’ve answers so many questions on this forum. Many of us men answer the same way, but then you still have women saying no that can’t be the truth.

That is my point I think you're right most girls dont want to see their man cry and always feel bad if I do becouse I'm an adult and I should be able to hold my emotions but everybody tells me it's ok but I feel like Im just annoying everybody and they are just being nice. I dont want to annoy guys being sensitive. I dont know if I should hold it in but my boyfriend always gives me a hug and tells me it's ok but does he actually think less of me? That I'm a weak person? If its ok why I have never seen him cry?

Men know this difference between men n women. A major majority of us men don’t think it’s weak if a girl cries. Where it becomes a problem for men is if she cries over ever day thing. That’s where it becomes an issue. It just gets annoying. Sometimes it’s like damn stop being sensitive about everything. If it’s something
Like a pet died, family member died, a really bad day or
Something it’s fine. But if she’s coming home everyday crying about work it gets annoying. Like I said read a lot of the questions on here that women ask. It’s like everything bothers women. Had a girl at work have a bad week because she found out other women at work get together outside of work to have fun, but because she wasn’t included she moped about it all week. Again men really can’t be honest w women. Women say they want us to be honest but they can’t accept a man’s honesty and how he talks because how he talks hurt her feelings.

because it is okay for everyone to cry if they feel like crying, it is a primal response, so not like you can help it much anyway, lol

he's just to insecure and too immature to handle his own emotions and feelings... his sense of self is still, too tied to whatever other might perceive or say

and maybe the others do not care at all but he just thinks of himself that way, a weak man

No it just makes you human and it helps in healing from whatever is making us cry in the first place. It's our body's response which helps to release some of those negative feelings.

Many do, but they should get over it. It's manly to care for others, which means caring when others are in pain.
