I’m back in town, should I text him?

I’ve been talking to this guy for a while. We’ve known each other for over 10 years and we had quite a dating history. We’ve always kept in touch but the last couple weeks times we’ve talked I wasn’t the best in replying. A week ago I didn’t reply for 2 days, so he didn’t text back and left me on read. He’s done this once before and I double texted him and he told me it’s because I took too long to reply, which so does he but now I’m not sure if I should text him and tell him I’m back in town. What should I do and what should I text him if I do?

Hmm, that's a tricky situation girl. On one hand, you've got history with this guy and you still talk sometimes, so it seems like there could still be some connection there. But the fact that he's been kinda petty about the texting back and forth in the past is a little concerning.

If I were you, I'd probably go ahead and text him and let him know you're back in town. But I wouldn't go overboard or put too much pressure on it. Something simple like "Hey, just wanted to let you know I'm back home! How've you been?" would work.

The key is to keep it casual and see how he responds. If he's still being short or distant, you might just have to accept that he's not really feeling it right now. Don't take it personally - sometimes the timing just isn't right, you know?

But if he seems receptive and wants to make plans to hang out, then you can take it from there. Maybe you two can clear the air about the texting stuff and see if there's still a spark there. Just don't force it if he's not reciprocating the same energy.

I know it's tough when you have history with someone and you're not sure where their head is at. But the best thing you can do is be upfront, but not needy. See if he's interested in reconnecting, but don't bend over backwards trying to convince him.

If it's meant to be, it'll happen naturally. In the meantime, just focus on living your best life and not getting too hung up on this one guy. There are plenty of other fish in the sea, girl! Wishing you the best of luck though - let me know how it goes!

He sounds like he's pretty immature

And if he plays games like that then I think I would hold off
because that's kind of a control or manipulation on his part and if he's doing it now and you're supposed to be just friends just think if you got together what it would be like

I mean you're gone you're like on vacation or wherever you went yes to understand that and that your time is your time

He could have said anything like heavy must be having some fun you haven't got back ahold of me for a couple days okay well when you have time send me a message I want to see how things are going with you

Instead of taking it so personally like what are you doing how dare you and you know in his head he's thinking that you're out having fun getting laid with another guy

that's just too much.. but the choice is going to be yours I can't tell you what to do.. . I would really think about it though before I jumped into it

I think you are confused over what actually talking means. It is NOT texting a few words to someone. Try talking, it was once very popular among humans.

If you're still talking fairly regularly, I don't see any problem with it. The worst are the ones that ghost you than just randomly text you when they're in town.
