Foreign co-worker likes me but hates me?

Hi All,

So my co-worker, we'll call him Matt, and I met on a work trip. He's Austrian, and I'm from the US. During the trip, he texted me throughout, saying goodnight to me, saying he thought I was cute and hot, saying how he loved the way I was always happy and how he liked how I brightened up a room. We texted for a bit, and the day we both left, I had told him that I had wanted to hangout with him because he was fun and attractive (he's good at speaking English, not so good at texting). We had really hung out only once during the trip at the gym. We had ended up staying there until midnight just talking about our lives, with him making comments about me and how I was very cute. This whole thing ended the day we left; he never responded to my last text. The whole time he had texted me about coming over, how I made him happy, how he wanted my company, and how he had a crush on me, but he never made a real move.

A couple weeks go by, and he texts me and asks me if I'm in Sweden (where we met), and I tell him I'm not. We continue to text, and it gets pretty NSFW. I mean, a lot. So we've texted for days, and paragraphs. We get each other's snap, and he snaps me a picture. And I snap him one back, if you get what I'm saying. Then he unadds me as a friend and hasn't texted back, even though I know he's seen my texts. We had seemed to get along really well in person, and he was totally into texting me right back whenever I texted, except for today. I honestly have no idea of he blocked me or what because I haven't tried contacting him at all. I just unadded him as a friend too.

Could these sudden stops in conversation mean he has a girlfriend? Or was he just looking to get that pic? He knows what I look like and nothing's changed there. Was he nervous? He's hinted that he's been very insecure in the past, which I can see, but the way he talks makes me think it's not true. I'd just like to have someone else's opinion.

yeah it is pretty long. To sum up, we met, hung out together for a couple hours, continued to text, hung out at work, continued to text, then hard stop.

Picked back up when he texted me, we texted for a few weeks or so. He texted me paragraphs. Sent some pics over snap, then he unadded me after those pics, so I did the same. Neither of us has reached out. To clarify, I do look the same as I did when I was with him at our workplace-he also texted a bunch about how I was super cute and hot and he really liked me. Was he just looking for those pics? This definitely does not give the whole scope of things, but short summary stuff.
