Is it just because I’m being kind, or is there something more to it?

I recently moved to a new city, and it’s been a bit of a change. I’m not good-looking at all, but I’m nice to people. The thing is, when I ask for something small like "May I have some more sugar?", people always give it to me with a smile and say "Of course, for you." It’s like little things like that keep happening.

We got to a building, someone who helps me with personal stuff, introduced me to the owner's son.
He got complimented on his hair, so I looked at it, but I realized I stared a bit too long. When I looked away and my eyes met his, I caught him staring at me; he held my gaze for a moment. He stared into my eyes with such confidence.
When I looked away, he quickly smiled.
Later, I walked into a building with the person who was helping me with personal matters. She introduced me, and suddenly, this other person made coffee for me and held the door open. The one helping me mentioned that they never do that for anyone else and looked even shocked at me.

I’ve always been the shy, nerdy girl, which is why I’m asking this—these kinds of things have never happened to me before, but now these small gestures keep happening.
Are they just being nice too?

Is it a small town.

Small towns have people in them that are the way people should be
and that's just the way people are they are kind courteous when they speak they look deep into your eyes
they shake your hand they say hi
if you need help in hand they help you without you even asking
They'll just jump in and say here let me help you please

There's a couple small towns where I live that I love going to I have friends and both
We went out to get some fresh vegetables
We drove down this dirt road we get to the place and their sacks of vegetables already picked for you you can mix and match what have you
And then there's a jar with a piece of paper and a pen it says please write down what you took here's the prices please put the money in the jar and they'll be over $100 or more in that jar you put your money in and you and you leave

This is the way that we're supposed to be in life everything's on the honor system

And we all know damn well that if we had that same vegetable stand in front of our house with the same jar that jar would be gone probably

Well we'll see it's a 50/50 odds I think my house it would still be there I'm not sure though

But there are real people out there there are real people everywhere it's just that some people haven't been around to meet them or just have an experienced anything like it yet

at least you have better hope it is because otherwise you're in the Twilight zone you better run girl LOL

Just kidding we'll just pay attention and
Maybe everybody knows everybody in that town and you're the first new person that's been there for a year or two so they're all happy LOL

Now I even have a weird vibe about it so just pay attention damn I should have never even answered this question

People act different in different places. I grew up in the Northeast US and went to college Florida. People are way nicer up north.

Well, you’re probably attractive and you’re in your 20s so people do treat attractive people better than other people
