Why do some men avoid eye contact with me but smile when talking to me?

They also always notice when I look at them from afar (for instance when I stare at a fellow student who stands up or does something weird during an exam). And would then quickly look back at me. I just like to watch people so it doesn’t mean I’m into them

Because they try to hidden their weakness, every man gets weak when they saw a beautiful woman. It's happen with me also. And also they try to make comfortable for those girls, if you are really beautiful and if all man constantly look at you then you must feel embarassed or discomfort. That's why all gentlemen have the same issue, they try to make you more comfortable to talk with them.
