It is observed that the modern urban man is not physically exposed to war, which influences the decrease of brusque/aggressive traits, there is less real burden of protection for women and this frees them, allowing them to develop other facets that are proper to each man.

And precisely for this reason it is believed that man is becoming "infantilized"; because it is the development of a state of freedom that women have had for centuries, since they have always been protected by men.

But so that men do not forget to be the eternal protector of the "damsel", there must be an internal enemy and that is... ... man himself.

Today, decrees from different States are vainly issued announcing the cancellation of compulsory military service, giving him a false feeling of "equality" of rights with women, but as soon as there is an armed confrontation, men will be forced again to carry a rifle and serve as cannon fodder.

    Regards.

Actually, if someone were to look up childish behavior, it accurately describes the majority of women.

If you’re talking about men born in the 70’s or 80’s, it’s not that they’ve become more childish but rather that they never really matured beyond a kind of surface level idea of it. They lack a great deal of emotional intellect because of the heavily sexist times in which they grew up.

You're coming at this from the pov of a feminist who doesn't like to have the future is female narrative to be challenged. What ways aren't men who've built and sustained the world you take for granted and had to deal with the Cold war, rise of the internet, drop in return for labour thanks to greater competition from all the liberated women into the workforce taking all the cozy comfy soft and sociable jobs while being given hand outs and leg ups all over through programs after projects after movements?

Emotional EXPRESSIVENESS and impulsiveness isn't intellect. Intelligence is the capacity to learn from observations, analysis, reasoning, concluding, considering and expressing. Not blurting out all your feels because you need to be validated. This is more feminist brainwarp that's being pushed.

Consider which gender seeks therapy, medication, and is affected more easily, more deeply and for longer by stress. That whole societal washout has affected lots of young men into becoming more like women when it's evident that the way men have dealt with issues through stoicism and independent resilience, works.

Humanity has won, we have succeeded in making anywhere liveable for humans. There's little to no further challenges to overcome apart from going inward and having to emote just to feel valid.

Self reliance and assurance is good trait. Needing external validation and main character syndrome are symptoms of the feminisation of men. It's NOT better to be more emotive, it's abundantly clear to be

It's not childish to respond negatively to an inaccurate scurrilous slur on a generation who STILL has the ability to not take itself seriously. That's the height of maturity.

@cupcakethedestroyer if it's blatantly false it needs to be challenged
Spreading myths and lies may work with the uneducated but everyone knows the generation that grew up before screens and through the cold war have the traits of resilience and community and aren't all about being the main character in their life reel.

It's about GUYS BEHAVIOUR not dating because it wasn't mentioned in the question. I thought women were supposed to be good communicators. Maybe it's a digitalisation issue
Be clear because others have also not assumed it's about dating. Just look at the other responses for that nugget of realisation.

Dude, if I influence anyone from this singular comment on a random, mostly unpopular internet web board, it’d be like 3 people which is a negligible amount. This is nothing new. Women have always complained about men who continue to have an "immature" side even as they age. But I'll share a confession from my wife, who told me that even though women lament certain aspects of immaturity among older men, they also admire and are even jealous of others. According to her, men as they age don't forget how to have fun, whereas a lot of women do. I've thought a lot about that since she said it, and she's right.

I don't know. I'm sure some men are becoming more childish which I assume you mean to be bad lol. I'm really into details before answering things. I understand what you're asking but I had an interesting reaction to the question. I smiled and thought back to being a kid.

Are all childish behaviors in older men bad though? I'm being prob more philosophical with this than intended lol

Unfortunately older generations weren't always taught true kindness, they were only taught that you have to respect your elders and when such people become elders themselves they often feel they can demand respect without giving it.
