We're coworkers. Today, as his shift ended, he opened the office door to leave, but just before disappearing behind it, he glanced in my direction. I caught it. Then, he pushed the door open again and waited until I looked up at him. Our eyes locked for a solid three seconds.
Then, he traced a smile on his face, as if he's telling me to smile. I responded by pulling the corners of my lips with my fingers. He laughed before finally leaving.
Was he flirting? Or am I overthinking it?

IF this happened, then he was trying to cheer you up for whatever parts of the story you haven’t shared. Marginally he was testing to see your reaction to his cutesy gesture as well, in which case he’s possibly setting himself up to flirt with you down the line.

if all of this is true then there is a high possibility he was flirting. but i can't say for sure because i don't no anything else. how he behaves around your and other things. wait and see what he does next. you will know if he likes you.
