last week i went to a friends birthday gayhering, there were no more than 15 of us there. this guy, we’ll call him j, approached me and complimented the jersey i was wearing. from there we had a conversation and hit it off instantly, spending the rest of the night talking. we had a lot of chemistry and others noticed it too, with some asking if we were a couple and telling us how good we look together. towards the end of the night, he pulled me aside and asked for my social media, telling me that he finds me very attractive and enjoys talking to me; he initially asked me for my snapchat but i told him i’m not very active on there and gave him my number instead. he left for a little bit then returned and called me to open the door for him as it was locked from the outside and we carried on as usual. he left before me but i wasn’t certain if he going home or had to go do something, as i was on my way home i called him again (i think this might’ve been where i messed up) to update him on our drunk friend which we had spent a bit of time taking care of. he told me he was also on his way home and i asked him if he was nearby so i could come say goodbye, he told me he was pretty far out so we simply just said our goodbyes over the phone and that was the end of that. that night when giving him my number, he sent me a text saying to make sure it was correct, so the next morning i replied just saying hi and asking if he got home safe, he took a little bit to respond but when he did he apologised for that as he was busy so i didn’t think too much of it (it’s a Sunday, maybe he’s hungover?) i didn’t stress and carried on with the conversation, asking about something we had spoken about the night prior, he responded once more and then after i replied to that message, he went ghost.

2/2 i deleted his number and cleared the chat after about a day as it’s clear that he doesn’t wanna speak to me, however i can’t help but wonder if i did something wrong? it’s important to note that we were both drinking a bit but nothing crazy to where we were disoriented. he also told all our mutual friends there that he’s attracted to me and wants to get to know me better so i can’t help but wonder what changed in less than 24 hours? did i come across too strong?
