Girls, is it ok to not be an asshole as a guy?

I was raised in a violent toxic masculinity environment. I got punished for being nice and not cruel and violent. I'm quite polite and good hearted. I don't go starting fights or getting drunk. I'm very respectful to women and others. My "family" is very rude violent and all a pain in the ass to deal with. So should I be myself or be like them. I'm very confused.
