Ladies. She's says to me..."will you wait for me?" What does that mean?

A girl I was with for about 9 months tells me she doesn't want to date anyone right now but then says, "Will you wait for me?" Huh?

I soon find out she is seeing someone else and hasn't talked to me in over a month.

She is 23 and I know how everyone, including me at that time, goes through that fun stage in life with no strings attached to anything or anyone but I'm just confused as to why she strung me along for all that time and make me think something good will happen, says to me "Will you wait for me?", starts seeing someone else, then complete cuts me out of her life. I feel like a empty pack of cigarettes that was easily thrown away once she used up everything.

Ladies...what should I do? I care about her a lot but I don't want to push her away. Everyone says that time solves/heals everything but... I want to think that she cares about me after all this time but I think twice about it now that she is talking to other people.

You've become the insurance policy. She wants to go out, date, have fun, do everything she wants without consequence. And she recognizes that you're a good guy, someone she could date and have a relationship with, but only if other things don't work out; if the partying is done, if she doesn't meet someone, etc. You are her back-up, and I'm sorry you have to go through it. It sucks.

I would not just sit around and wonder. get back out there, and find you someone who can appreciate you for the guy you are. She might come back around later, and I bet she will, actually, when no one else is in her life, but do you really want that to be what you are to her? Or would you rather find a girl who thinks you're what she wants to have in her life, right now, without having all that come along with the relationship?

If she's talking to other people then so should you. Its not fair for her to ask you to wait for her, when she's just going to go out and date other guys. She asked you to wait for her because your like her Ken Doll. She just wants to keep you up on the shelf where no one can touch you because she knows your a good guy. That's not right, and what if things don't work out between the two of you, then you will regret the time you wasted waiting for her to settle down. By that time you may have found someone else.

did you contact her during the waiting period often and let her know you cared often. We start to worry that the person doesn't like us if the person doesn't say something every once in a while that lets us know that they are into us.

Yeah, I've tried but the calls became less to not a all. She seems pretty happy now with this new guy she's with so chances are that I will never hear from her again. Her sisters tell me that I just got caught up with the wrong girl but give it time. It hards to deal with when she is with someone else but her mom is telling me that she thinks that her daughter really likes me. Like the one girl stated on here, I feel like I'm being kept as an insurance policy. It sucks being a nice guy.

Yeah, that sucks. Don't keep waiting around then. She should have told you something and shouldn't have asked you to wait. I've had guys do the same thing to me before. Some people just don't understand how you have to be cruel to be kind. I don't find it cruel at all for someone to be up front with me.

Im kind of in a similar situation as you are, however the girl I like does try to talk to me a couple times a week, whether by phone, texting or finding a way to talk to me. Sometimes she asks me to hang out with her, but when I ask her out to follow up, she says she doesn't want a boyfriend until she has time after schools over. I want to believe her, but from past experiences, I don't know if she's telling me the truth or not.

If I had to make an educated guess as to your situation, I would say she does want to be with you, but she wants to have other relationships first, just so she has the experience of going out. She's not going to be serious with anyone she goes out with though. That's just the way girls are until they reach about 25.

I know how confused and hurt you are now because I've been in a similar situation. It sucks.

But the best thing for you is to move on. Start dating other girls.

IF you like this girl, don't burn your bridges. But also don't expect that you'll ever date her again.

Ultimately, it doesn't matter if she's trying to string you along, trying to let you down gently, or hoping you'll simply go away. What matters is that she doesn't want to be with you.

i agree with the guy post. if she's dating then that gives you the right of way. but don't loose contact. if she comes back then awsome. but if she doesn't then you haven't waisted any of your time waiting around

It's simple. How can you care about someone who strung you along? How are you attracted to that? If I did that to some guy what she did to you he would just get rid of me flat out.
