Guys, do you realise how much images/videos of women on Tiktok/Instagram are edited etc?

Lots of men follow thousands of women/girls on TikTok on Instagram with thousands of followers, all with really glossy, filtered images and videos.

I just wondered how many men trust/believe that everything they see and watch on there is "real", as in what they see is how that woman looks in real life, without the editing.

It takes 1 minute or less to edit your appearance on a photo or in a video for Insta/Tiktok. You can 'beautify' your face (smoother, smaller nose, smoother skin, larger eyes), and 'fix up' your body (you can adjust boob size/perkiness, waist size, hip size, thigh size, etc etc).

I have nothing against people doing whatever they want on social media, or building a career on it. BUT I just wondered how much men really believe in what they're seeing on there. Thanks!

Filters and AI are common yes. But I also don't care about instagram at all so its not a problem or warped view I actually run in to.

That's nice, but I feel like most younger men (and even lots of middle aged men) feel the need to follow thousands of these accounts, even though what they're seeing isn't really 'real' .

If they genuinely fall for that and reject you as a result consider it a favor. You want a man who can think right? Those guys ain't it. But I don't think most men will take it as realistic.

Oh it's nothing to do with men rejecting me personally - I'm currently not dating as I have other things I want to focus on. But I not want to with a guy who thinks social media videos and images are 'real'.

The pictures are very obviously fakes and filters, with videos it’s not that easy.

You can easily edit a video. There are apps to alter your appearance in videos. And you can filter yourself in a video.
