What’s the different signs between a guy being flirty and wanting something more vs just being friendly?

Ok so if a guy shows the following signs is he flirty or just friendly.

1. Leans in close, like really close.

2. lots of eye contact, locking regularly from a distance but doesn’t turn away. Sometimes it’s like a serious eye contact, like we’re thinking things, but don’t say. But it keeps happening and it’s not uncomfortable.

3. regularly checking me out.

4. Playful teasing, eg the other day he pretended to look surprised to see me when he came around the corner and then slow motioned to run away, then laughed, smiled and waved.

5. Sometimes acts stunned to see me, stumbles on words slightly and then carries on.

6. He helps me a lot, the other day another girl came up to us and she said he had to go see friend, but he seemed relunctant to go straight away, like he liked our conversation and wanted to delay having to leave.

Is this in my imagination or is he just friendly?

The signs definitely look good but just remember attraction isn’t completely universal there are some people who you would think are head over heels but in reality aren’t romantically or sexually interested at all, and their intentions were completely innocent the entire time. There are others out there who you would never suspect like you but they think they’re being obvious.

At the end of the day it’s down to you to decide if you’re going to make a move or not. Yes, maybe it’s scary, uncomfortable, awkward, and the list goes on but it’s better then potentially missing out forever. Never assume you’re the only one whose attracted to someone and that someone won’t directly make a move or at least be closer to someone as well as people can loose attraction. People can simply move on before you even realize and you see these things fade away.

Is there a risk of rejection? Yes, rejection is possible even if someone does like you sometimes people are in a relationship, know you’re not right for them, or you’re someone whose too risky. But regardless of the reasoning behind it take it for what it is you’ll have closure as well as some people waste time on people who aren’t even attracted. Just waiting for them to make a move that’s never made until eventually the heartbreak of seeing them with someone else… Wondering if that could have been you.

But all in all I do assume he likes you based off what you’re telling me. If I was betting money I would say there is a 80 percent chance he likes you romantically at least to some degree or another.

If you’re into him go ahead and express attraction and see if he is interested as well as maybe setting up a date. If you’re not keep things friendly and if he directly makes a move kindly decline. You can always ask how he feels attracted or not. Then go form there.

It could be either, and there is no sure fire way of knowing the answer so I guess the only advice I can give is the obvious, don't sleep with him too quickly unless of course, you are into one-night stands.
