In my limited experience with those types, they are so void of confidence or self-esteem that there is nothing you can do to fix it. They are constantly paranoid you're on a search for someone better, constantly make comments about how you're going to dump them, think you're always cheating with someone better and no matter how many times you try to re-assure them otherwise, their minds cannot be changed.

I'm above average in many ways and married to what most would consider a perfectly average guy.
