Does this guy still hopes I might get interested in him? Guys can you give advice on how to make him understand I never will?

I met him almost a year ago at a friend’s party. After a few drinks he started hitting aggressively on me, I was very annoyed. He even complained that I didn’t seem interested an I had spent more time talking to another guy. After the party he started sending me messages on ig daily. I never answered if not once, as he asked me to go for a drink and I said I was going on holiday for a month. I hoped he had gotten it but he kept sending messages (never answered) and a month later he asked me to go for a drink again. At that point I told him very clearly that I wasn’t interested in dating him and I didn’t think going for a drink was a good idea, as he didn’t seem to want to be just friends. He denied everything and never wrote again. Until today. He wrote again and started putting likes on my Instagram pictures. I have never given this guy a single sign I might reciprocate him, I told him the opposite. I am not sure what I am supposed to do more than this to make him understand.

This guy is picturing everything in his mind about you, but without the real you participating. That means he is very vulnerable to interpret things in a way that favour his desires, even if they're not realistic. This means you should quit all his ways to possibly build up new fantasies, such as the ability to contact you and to see your photos. He proven to be capable to imagine things from basically no input from you, so you better take off the things he uses to keep fantasizing: blocking him. Don't do it out of nowhere maybe, but as soon as he contacts you, explain him that you are annoyed and not interested in him, and that you noticed he got some massive obsession over no inputs from your side, even not listening to your past statements, so now there is no chance but you'll always see his contacts as desperate no matter what, so it's better for both to quit any contact also because it's clear you're not on the same page about understanding each other's intentions, and that he doesn't understand any of your refusal words or hints. And you do, without waiting a reply...
He will get mad and badmouth you and so on but chances are other people around you know how he is already and won't credit him much, isn't it?
