Would a guy start to ignore you if he became jealous?

I’m not going out with the guy but he seemed to like me. I was talking to another male friend, which the other guy seems to get a bit jealous about. Since then he’s been giving me the cold shoulder and ignores me. What gives?

Yeah, he could be jealous. Or he could have simply seen the writing on the wall and accepted that you've friend zoned him. He may figure he's wasting his time and feel uncomfortable being a 3rd wheel watching this new guy chat you up and watching you respond enthusiastically. So he's accepted the rejection and moved on. What do you you expect him to do, hang around in your male friend stable on the off chance you need a shoulder to cry one someday? I would never do that. Maybe this guy has some self respect too.

Thanks for this, I know what you are saying. The problem is the guy I was talking to is actually just a friend, so yes I was talking to him enthusiastically because we get on, but more in a brother sister way.

The other guy I really like, like really that, but he’s always been a bit conscious of my friend. I don’t know. How can I bring him back to thinking I do actually really like him? Should I pull him aside and just say?

He’s started to ignore my texts and me in person, is he just really upset even though there’s nothing there with my friend?

Yeah, just say "hey I want to talk to you about something" and ask to meet up. And tell him, "hey dumbass, it's you I like. Steve is just a friend". Or something to that effect. He could lack confidence and be a little insecure. And frankly guys don't have the ability to read minds. All he knows is that you were giving the other guy all your attention. Help a guy out with a little clarity.

On the flip side, he could be insecure and jealous and pouting. You're gonna have to assess that and decide if this pops up repeatedly. It can be a red flag. Does he trust you and stop this stuff after you set him straight? Or does he lapse into this again every time you talk to another guy? Keep your eye's open.

Thanks, yeah ok will do. I’m not sure if it’s because he’s newly divorced and there were issues there and also I do get a fair bit of attention from men, as in they find me attractive, but I don’t ever really flirt, so maybe that could add to it too. I mean that in the most humble way.

I don't think he's jealous. Jealous people are afraid they are losing something. He acts like he knows he's lost it.

Yeah ok, so why do you think he’s mood changes so quickly after the encounter with the other guy, why would he be like that?
