5 months pregnant and boyfriend took and gambled away my money. He admited and I was so hurt I can't believe it. What to do?

He said he will return it. He gambled a lot of money, his own (I don't know how much), 200 of mine and 800 that he borrowed. In comparison I make 1200 a month. So he gambled what would be my monthly salary and probably more. He makes around 3000 or more. But it seems he has a big gambling problem.

He saw messages on my phone that I am planning to get an additional job to do in the afternoon. And he said that I must not work that much and that I need to think about the baby. I snapped at him told him that I really need the money. All I have now is like 3 euros which can get me a cup of coffee around here and he tells me not to work that much. As if I have a choice... He didn't leave me any. I keep crying he says he is sorry but that he can't do anything about it, that it is in the past.

Oh my god, I'm so sorry. Your boyfriend has a serious gambling problem. You should stay with him if he is willing to get help (even if that's through 12 step gambling anonymous type groups).

This is heartbreaking. If he loves you, and the baby the way he should. This should be the 'rock bottom' that makes him willing to get the help he needs.

I don't doubt that he loves you. I don't doubt he loves the baby. That's why there is no excuse for him to refuse to get help. There's nothing he can do about the past. But he can control whether he gets help and stops gambling.

If he won't stop gambling and get help. You should leave him until he is no longer a man who gambles.

This is sad, and disgusting, and a man who has a gambling problem so severe he is stealing from you when you're 5 months pregnant. That's a sick man, who needs help.

If he won't. You need to protect yourself. Hide your money. Get your own bank account. But protect yourself. He should have nothing to say about you not trusting him to know where you keep your money.

I don't think this is a bad person. I think this is a very sick person.

He has s gambling addiction and those types of persons can't stop a d usually just end up deeper and deeper in debt. Leave him as soon as you can.

It depends on how frequently this happens. If it only happened once, I suggest staying with him for now and find out if it really was something that was only in the past.
