I think it's more of a colutre thing cuz here if not just guys but girls as well unless they are family members or really close friends (like BFF type thing) they won't kiss on cheeks but more of a hug (if we talk about just friends) all other is just a handshake
personally I greet people I'm not close to with kisses more than my best friends, maybe that's just in my culture cause we greet men in the same way
@jennz6 Depends on culture a lot
@kelly6
Thanks Kelly
We are men, not women, and we are different. Kidding another man is not something that i want to do. I’ll shake his hand or, for my closest friend, I may give him a brief hug.
There’s no reason why we should act like women. . . thank you, Jesus!
But what if your girlfriend likes it?
Nope. Ain’t gonna happen. I’ll kiss her all night long but I’m not kissing anybody else, and especially not another dude.
@Vampirelover_12 it’s a culture thing
Well when you let go of your straight phase, maybe you'll consider it.
@Vampirelover_12 My "straight phase" has lasted for 70 years. Not everyone is a latent homosexual or bisexual. That's just an idea floated by people who are arrogant and want to normalize abnormal behavior.
Spaghetti is straight until it's wet
Brilliant!
I take a shower every day, get quite wet, and I’m still straight. I guess it’s different with spaghetti.
@jennz6 The French do, as you will see in many movies... Gay men kiss.
@bricealan
Gay men?
@bricealan
Was Gay?
@jennz6 Jerry died January 6th, in Georgia. I was sickened by the fact that I got him into Assisted Living, on Christmas Eve, and stayed with him on Christmas Day, and came back to CA after Christmas. The idiots at Assisted Living did NOT notify me that he was 'near death' after New years, and I could not be with him to hold him when he died... always will regret that.
My condolences on your loss, brother!
@OlderAndWiser Thank you, my friend

It looks like kissing (or in fact fake kissing), and being tactile in general is more common in Latin Europe, regardless of gender. While it is uncommon in Anglo-Saxon countries. Briefly said it' a sort of cultural and historical clash between "cold" and "warm" regions.
Because I'm not Italian, but also because men just don't do that, and we don't have to. Hell, I think it's gross and cringey seeing two women kissing or hugging around the waist like you see in some girls' friends or prom photos. I don't think women should be embracing each other like that either.
@ManOnFire
I'll add to your list if you don't mind. 🙂
What about grown kissing their Mother on the lips when saying hello and goodbye?
You have to know that his Mother was the one that probably had her son doing that since he was a young boy.
I have a son and we have NEVER kissed anywhere except occasionally he'll gimme a kisser on my cheek when he's really happy about something I did for him or bought him something he's wanted for a long time.
We side hug like that big family "The Duggar Family".
@sage2021 I suppose a man giving his mom a peck on the lips isn't too bad, but I always gave my mom a kiss on the cheek. And I definitely don't think a woman should do that with her mom either. Although society think it's normal, many of the forms of endearment or affection that women give each are gross to me. Women shouldn't be hugging or embracing each other in those ways.
@ManOnFire
Sometimes women do hug, but not like a man and a woman do. Pressing their chests up against each other.
But like I said, I give side hugs which are not sexual whatsoever. Is that okey with you?
@sage2021 That's fine. Just as long as it isn't like this www.shutterstock.com/.../...portrait-314143946.jpg
Or like this
Women should not be hugging like this.
I live in the U. S. A. Most women don't kiss each other here either. That is done more in other countries. Women may hug but not usually kiss.
@miristheiss
I kiss 💋 other girls
Depends on the culture but typically the impression is that it's considered to be gay or too touchy feely.
I think guys are more into giving each other than big, solid hug instead.
You see guys hugging when they first see each other. I think it has taken the place of the handshake that guys used to do when they met up with other guys they know.
It depends on the culture you're raised in and the culture you live in. Western culture - heavily influenced by the US and UK - doesn't accept it as something normal. France has traditionally not had a problem with it. It was normal behaviour in the middle east 2000 years ago to greet with a kiss on the cheek.
I'm a woman and I wouldn't kiss another woman in greeting I don't like touch unless it's affectionate, sexual or romantic. I don't need to greet my female friends that why.
Because women are more open about their sexuality than most men are , some men do kiss each other on the cheek I guess it comes down to their culture and how they were raised. I haveItalian relatives and friends that hug me and kiss me on the cheek when they see me the girls’ will kiss me on the lips Just how I grew up
Good question. I just suppose it is digusting to even think like that that is why.
@serious
Thanks for your reply
Girls are hot , even to each other. Lots of girls have experimented with sexwith other girls. A guy would never consider it Most guys are gross and disgusting
The question is not why men don't. The real question is why women do.
I think there are multiple of reasons, but the two biggest are it's socially acceptable for women to do it, but not for men, and because women tend to be more likely to be sexually/romantically attracted to their same sex.
I don't think this is a matter of gender but more a matter of culture. In many arabic countries, the men hold hands as a sign of friendship. But in the US, unless you are gay OR from a different cultural background, but living in the US, this is not something men typically do as a greeting.
I don't know unless they're gay I wouldn't know why they would
@xxblack88
Girls gay? Nah 💃
Maybe they're still scared to display affection in public?
Because they're so unsure about their own sexuality and masculinity that a kiss on the cheek might make them or others question their sexuality. They're afraid of their masculinity disappearing because they're so lacking within.
Brezhnev - Honecker
And both their countries ceased to exist! Coincidence? I think not!
It seems to be a cultural thing. I don’t see men or women kissing each other when greeting each other unless they are family or very close.
Because it's a physically intimate act that is reserved only for those who warrant it. Like why don't women smooch with men the same way they do with each other when they don't know these men?
I think the meaning of a kiss is "love for a girl friend " so it is wrong for other gals or men.
Guys do kiss too in certain eastern cultures.
Guys are incredibly insecure and MUCH too scared to be seen as fags!! Women don't give a shit if anyone sees them as lezzies.
When I was a chef working in an Italian restaurant and also a Greek restaurant it was common to greet the head chef and the owner with a kiss on each cheek. That were men.
We don't do it in my culture bros shake hands if I try it I will be slapped and if someone else try it they will be slapped that is how it works in my culture
because they have egos
@chrissykerdock
What?
like you can eat my pussy
@chrissykerdock
I can?
you've been telling me that everyday for years
@chrissykerdock
Of course
i know who you are very clever
because we don't want to
Due to cultural norms and homophobia, unfortunately.
It's unhygienic, I don't like being greeted with a kiss.
as a man i know why men are scared of being called gay
I think we have been brought up no to show that kind of affection.
they do. some cultures don't tho. it's a culture thing, not a "men" thing.
It depends on the culture. For example, in some Arab countries, men will hold hands. In Japan, if anyone attempts to kiss cheeks, they freak out!
🤣🫢
Because we aren't that happy to see each other
In other cultures they do but guys here in the USA don’t do that and I certainly wouldn’t
That okay for women but I'm not kissing a dude and if a dude tries to kiss me I'm gonna throw him a beatin. That's gay asf!
I kiss on the cheeks but not a stranger (female) on the lips because I get hard
Why do a lot of women who aren't actually gay, kiss each other
Cause they don’t want you find out women aren’t afraid to show it.
Because that would be weird.. like when two women hold hands while walking together as if they were lovers.
Men do kiss to greet each other in France
I do but i'm Italian so its not unusual! I mean we dont make out its on the cheek. Bllod is thicker than water
They do in some cultures.
Uh... because it's gay?
Visit Italy, especially Naples. 😉🤫
That's Gay!..
because men don’t do that
Because we aren't women, I'd assume? :)
Because I am not a woman or European.
2000 years of homophobia.
Cause they are worried how it look to each others.
To be fair, in some countries they do
Because that’s 🌈
@PavlovsCogk Degenerates.
Middle Eastern men are kiss each others.
Cause not everybody is bisexual
Guys? Thats just gross
The weird ones from third world countries do
@In_Trance only 1st world about US is the military everything else is 2nd worldly
no, and its not making out either. A handshake or hug is good enough with me, i tried greeting a old female friend like this years ago in Europe i just ended up actually kissing her cheeks lol
because it's gay?
Arabs do
Cause they scared they’ll like it.
fear of being thought gay
Cuz it would seem gay to do so
