How can men tell after talking on the phone or via text IN ONE DAY or a few hours, that I’m not street smart and would fall for “I want to marry you”?

This happened multiple times. And no it wasn’t them joking. They would keep taking marriage plans even after saying it the first day. One of the guys who did this , I was very into. So I get how he probably saw that I was gushing over him and said ok she’s an easy mark.

but this also happened with a guy I was not attracted to and not thinking of in more than a basic friendly way. He came after me online and then once he saw my pic, he basically said all this stuff about how I’m his wife and he already knows blah blah. I wasn’t giving off signals or words that I liked him. I was being polite. He wasn’t attractive to me even.

how do men know I was such a not street smart woman?

Just remembered I told the second guy that another guy forced me to do sexual thing. So that’s why he probably saw I’m easy prey because I told him about how I was forced to do sexual thing. Damn I FORGOT ABOUT THAT. NEXT TIME I can't TELL GUYS I WAS RAKEN ADVANTAGE OF.

I doubt it is for the lack of being street smart and more along the lines of your being hopeful to be swept up by some guy whose actions actually match his words. It happens with some men as well. Heck even my last girlfriend the first time we spoke said to me, “How would you feel if I proposed to you?” Me being me responded with, “Does this mean you are getting on one knee and slipping a ring on my finger should I say yes?” Se actually became involved for a while till the lock down and she went off the rails.

I think gullible people can be sensed by some manipulative types by the way they speak. Their intonation and sound of enthusiasm for things can be over the top too much so manipulators will target that.

NOT exactly, you can adopt a persona that is interested and curious NOT excited and desperate. Slow down your speech and pronounce words clearly. Be cool and calm. All sorts of ways to play it that don't make you sound easy
