Can it be platonic if the man you are seeing has a female good friend that’s a professional chef and they hang a lot by cooking?

It could be. But as the saying goes, “the way to a man’s heart is through his stomach.” Plus most men want a girl who can cook. If a girl can cook like his friend or close to it, that’s another bonus. If she’s cute as well, even better. But she doesn’t always have to be cute cute, she could be so-so w a good personality who knows how to cook. A girl who is family oriented, takes care of her man. I’d take a girl like that over a pretty face who just gets by on her looks. To me food can be linked to romance.

Um I don't know, never met her. Me and him is new. So not gonna bother for a while to meet her unless we are serious. He told me that she’s a fantastic person and he enjoys spending time with her as a friend… and to him… it has to be immediate thing.. I’m guessing attraction and sparks. So I do trust him… he hasn’t given me a reason not to… but he did say when things changed he would let me know… he also said he would accommodate my accommodate if we get serious. But I personally know that it does not mean things can still develop on its own course.

I see. Well hopefully he’s being honest. But yes to me she sounds like what a lot of men would like. This isn’t some girl he had a previous relationship w? Whether serious or friends with benefits? Maybe she likes him. That could be an issue.

Yeah I HOPE he’s honest. He has been so good to me so far. I mentioned concerns of him having friends with benefits with her and he said he isn’t how he operate. My last guess is that if he doesn’t like her… maybe she likes him cuz um I do not do that to any of my close friends 😂

If it were two women or two guys, would you ask this question? Of course women and men can be friends. They're cooking. They share an interest, and it's an interest that also feeds you AND hones an important skill.

He hasn’t given me any reason to not trust him… but yeah I guess from my experience food has been more romantic…. Which is why I feel unsure and not comfortable. I’m trying to see if I can look pass this cuz he has been so good.

At first I didn’t because he didn’t text me at all for half the day when he was with her nor say anything about the hang out and friend. But the next day I discuss my discomfort that I was uncomfortable cuz of his shift in actions. He told me on his own he can text me to check in when I msged him and open to other suggestions. I felt better. But he started talk about how she also bakes really well and to his family. I get it she’s a professional chef and that’s sweet, but I wonder to myself that’s alil much.. are they that close? I should’ve asked that but I only said they seem really close for her to do that. He didn’t denied or agreed but went to bed and only address other things I also mentioned about other topics lol. Now it’s making me wonder does she likes him….. I don't know if I trust her?😅😂 but I also can tell he’s prolly a little uncomfortable about me feelin off about him and his friend perhaps…. It’s like I get it she does that but I feel like it’s a little much…

Well update we just talked about everything. He was incredibly open and understanding. We are good now. I didn’t ask for anything except his views. I also told him how I feel I’m okay and not okay with. He told if it’s my boundary, he will accommodate for me. So if we ever get serious, he would do less of those home type of hang outs cuz we both agreed we wouldn’t feel comfortable about that happening too often with the opposite gender lol.
