It's not showing the data of ATTEMPTED suicides which shows there are almost as many failed ones on top of that. The skewed data also hides the fact that of those failed ones around 60% of them are women so it's NOT just a men's issue, men are just more thorough when they attempt it.

The accusation that it's MEN who created this issue is bogus feminist propaganda. It's SOCIETY that created it and SOCIETY that was created FOR women and SOCIETY that supports the novelty of feminism being even possible. Just look at who does all the sustaining and maintaining of essential power, water, food transport and construction for evidence.

What feminism refuses to accept is that it's PUSHED men out of having a purpose in society so they choose to NOT bother now. The mindset of What's the point when you're worse than wild animals, are automatically a threat, have to lower your eyes, walk on the other side of the road, avoid LOOKING, are to blame for everything, etc, is pushed by feminist media and the general consensus of society that men are defective women as the future is female. gtf with that notion.

But, that isn't very serious. You can't, seriously, conceive that mankind, in general, were or is made of the benevolent protectors you imply. They do care though. Do you know why you're seeing statistics on this subject? Because it's "Men's Mental Health" month. Do you know how I (personally) am even aware that it's Men's Mental Health month? Because I saw three different posts brining it to my attention. Two of the posts included statistics, like the higher suicide rate among men (and also other statistics not pertaining to suicide, but mental health concerns like feeling depressed, or lonely).

All three of these posts were made by women.

You're the first guy who has said anything about men's mental state over the past few days.

More than that. Just in my experience being close friend with women (as a kid, a teenager, and an adult)... that's just not the case. Women care about the mental state of the men they care about.

It's not that they do, (or should) care about "men's" mental health in the aggregate abstract. The same way you don't care about "women's mental health" except insofar as it impacts the women in your life (mother, siter, girlfriend etc). Women sure do care about the mental health of the men in their lives. (Fathers, brothers, friends, boyfriends/husbands, uncle etc.)

That's scary. 😳 I'm sorry if you feel that way but I'm sure many women care about men in their life but in many cases, they don't know that the person is depressed otherwise they'd have tried their best to be help. Also, the many men are raised in such a way that they struggle to even express that they need support. Most guys just go out and have few drinks to numb down their feelings instead. I know few guys in my life who do that. They say they isolate themselves and take the help of substances to feel temporarily better as that's the way they've been coping ever since they started growing up. So, I'm sure many women are either unaware that he is struggling or they know but don't know how to help him.

Honestly, men made the society that makes them do things like this. The massive pressure to conform and the inability to do so turns into a cycle of hopelessness and despair that leads to such tragedies. Women couldn’t save them no matter how much they might wish we could.

Every day I feel like I'm getting closer and closer to being part of this statistic. People don't care about men because of the culture we've created. Everything is the guy's fault and the patriarchies' fault. "All men are useless" "We don't need men." "I'm a just a dude trying to live my life, yet I'm seen as a worthless source of problems, and we have woman saying things like "all men are rapists".

The culture we've created over centuries has made it so that men are meant to be stoic, strong and have endurance. We're supposed to be immune to our emotions and we're not supposed to "Need" to be comforted, vulnerable or supported we're the ones supposed to be doing that. Now we live in a world where most men can't even perform the basic tasks asked of them by society and the ones that are get none of the benefits often times.

Crying, being the one being held instead of holding, talking about your emotions, admitting you need comfort and support, all these things are seen as unmanly and not normal, so they interpret that as the guy being a looser a lot of the time. So when someone struggling is categorized as a failure nobody cares because people only care about people going through hardships, but they don't care about losers going through hardship.

Naturally this leads men to bottling all this up until they can't take anymore and men end up dying of heart problems suicide or in some really bad cases go full postal out of pain and hate. Every time I cross the street part of me wants to get hit by a car. Every time I'm high up I think about jumping. Every time I see a knife I think about slitting my wrists and every time, I look at some kind of cordage I think about hanging myself. It's a daily struggle just to keep thoughts of suicide at bay.

It's nothing that can be contained or stopped at the moment. Mostly it's men and some women who realize now what a huge mistake it was to vote for trump and are now doing the honorable thing by committing suicide
