How do I get my dad to stop listening to clickbait stories?

I come home in the weekend to visit my parents.

My mum is still working and my dad is 70 so he's retired.

For the last month his phone is attached to his hand and listening to those click bait stories.

I don't have a problem with that.

What I have a problem with is that he'll watch TV and listen to his phone at the same time and won't put headphones on and has his phone on the highest volume cause he is partly deaf.

My mum is. on wits end because she is still working and he listens to it at 3am and my mum has to go to work during the week.

He just says "this is my house, I can do what I like."

I checked his well being status on his phone for the last week and he is active between 12-16 hours a day.

When me and my sister come over he is glued to the phone and when we ask his something we have to repeat ourselves because he wasn't listening.

We are fed up with this and don't know how to get him to wear headphones so my poor mum can get some sleep.

I’m surprised you don’t just use a screentime app to make it so he stops. Seal the app he’s using away with a code and make it inaccessible after a certain amount of time

I'm older than your dad-72 to his 70, but we're both golden boys, so hopefully he can get a hobby which will keep him away from Internet BS.( And he's right, as king of his castle, he CAN do what he wants.)

It's my mums house so he should be listening to her. Lol. Sad he wants to his wife tired so he can listen to rubbish.
