My friend put his cap on me. Does it mean anything?

It was fun day and we were sitting/laying under a tree, hanging out with other friends. One of our friends acted as if he were going to take my hat. I offered to let him wear it (since my hat was awesome). A little while after, friend in question, got up, walked over to me, took his hat off, and put his hat on my head. Does this mean anything?

(Extra: The friend I let borrow my hat seemed to want to continue wearing it, so I let him borrow it till the end of the school day. The friend that put his hat on me, offered to let me wear his hat for the rest of the day. (Also, I tend to feel guilty for no reason a lot, I kept asking him if he wanted his hat back before he said I could wear it for the rest of the day, but he kept saying that I could keep wearing it.)

It's a cute gesture in my opinion. OR he thinks you should have kept your own hat on to begin with.
