Is it normal for guy to use different brands of protection?

My boyfriend usually has a brand and only if he doesn’t have some on him will buy some. But we usually go through three during our session. But last two time he has used different brands and I know there is extra of the others and ones before. Just overthinking but need insight to guys mind
