the above has always been the default. however nowadays a lot of guys rush into relationships like women do.
is this a sign that many guys are taking their soyboy mentality to a whole new level?

From the time I was 16 (1970), I was quick to commit to relationships.
If a girl was attractive, was into me, and our personalities clicked, we would become exclusive. I figured that I had totally scored.
I wasn't into pump and dump or adding notches to my bedpost. I thought guys who did that were ass holes who didn't respect women/other people, and women who did that were skanky.
I preferred having a girlfriend. Being boyfriend/girlfriend automatically meant being exclusive. I liked mutually infatuated relationships with lots of sex.
It's not like I was interested in marriage or kids, though.
The girls weren't up tight about sex and I never had to make any promises.
The infatuation usually wore off within a year or two and I would move on if I realized that I wouldn't want to spend the rest of my life with her. Then, rinse and repeat.
Have things changed? I got married in 1996 when I was 42, so I wouldn't know.
i don't know? i've never had this problem. why would you want a relationship? relationships cause problems.
me neither, I learned the hard way that relationships were hell and nothing like Disney movies protrayed them to be. even before I went mgtow.
but I still notice a lot of simps out there who still buy into this nonsense. some seem like they can't tell between an actual relationship and just fucking; no different than women if you ask me
it's best to assume it's just sex unless the girl asks you out. then it's an audition.
