I overheard a guy I like say "there's definitely something there, but I don't have time for that," when asked about me. How should I take that?

Granted, he just got a new job, left a relationship, is moving, and is in a generally stressful time, but I haven't added to that stress by telling him how I feel. Someone else just tried to play matchmaker and now I wish I hadn't heard anything.

Obviously, I wasn't meant to hear this, and I don't plan on saying anything, but I feel weird about it. Like, is he saying I'm too much or that the hypothetical "we" would be difficult? Or is it a "I don't have the bandwidth to give her what I would want to, so I'd rather not try," thing?
