What does he want from me?

Hooked up with a guy out of state about 5 weeks. He has stayed in contact since then. He randomly views my socials even though he doesn’t follow me he’ll like them. He’ll call randomly. Sometimes I send him funny memes and from there he’ll type out long responses. He recently called me to rant about his job? He then texted me at 12am his time right when my birthday hit to wish me a happy birthday, then he ends up face timing me on my birthday which I don’t answer. I ended up calling him back he wanted to get advice on where he should go on his solo trip for his birthday? I jokingly said to me and he responded saying “ no it’s a solo trip, and I’m not coming to your state” . I was literally just kidding..

Now he went back to being cold? The sex was very intense almost like love making. Yet why does he even bother talking to me if he’s going to act like that?
